ENOSIS CLUB, LIMASSOL (27th of April - 5th of May 1958)
The artist's third solo exhibition took place at the Enosis Club and presented 45 works, including selected art pieces that were borrowed by private collections in order to be presented to the general public for the first time.
It is worth mentioning that the Press noticed a renewal in the artist’s themes and technique; he developed his impressionistic painting style, proceeding to compositions of the Cypriot landscape and local people with, not only vigorous dynamism, but also a reflection on the adverse conditions of the times.
‘Τhe paintings of Mr Ioannides are soulful songs with a colorful symphonic structure’, artist Tilemachos Kanthos mentions in a related article regarding the exhibition. Special reference is made to the lyricism by which the artist handles color and light.
