Undersecretary of State Presidency, Mr. Patroclos Stavrou, inaugurated the exhibition on November 19th, 1977. This is the first time that the artist presents work using acrylic paint.
Journalist Panos Panayiotopoulos praises Ioannides' new work once again in an article in Phileleftheros newspaper, stating that, with this painting exhibition, the artist ‘managed to wake us up from our spiritual and artistic hibernation'.
He also suggests that the artist's hometown, Limassol, should honor Ioannides, just like the Municipality has done in the past; honoring locals who have contributed, in one way or another, to their city and to society.
