The artist presents his ink drawings for the first time at his exhibition in Ledra Palace. The comments are very flattering; critics claimed that those sketches 'preserve the atmosphere of rural Cyprus for the future' in a very vibrant manner. In total, the artist presents the largest amount of works he has ever presented in an exhibition: 64 works in three categories. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Nicos Demetriou, who mentioned that Ioannides’s work ‘can move even the most ignorant not educated in art and culture’.
